Accurate simulation of extreme downhole temperatures and pressures is crucial for evaluating oilwell cement slurry thickening time and ensuring structural integrity in deep and ultra-deep wells. Nithons develops and manufactures industry-leading High Temperature High Pressure (HTHP) Consistometers, designed in strict compliance with API Specification 10 standards.
Engineered entirely from high-grade stainless steel with fully automated pressure and temperature control systems, Nithons HTHP consistometers provide oilfield service companies, cementing laboratories, and research institutions with unmatched operational stability, precision, and repeatability.
Nithons offers three distinct configurations of HTHP consistometers to meet diverse oilfield testing environments and laboratory requirements:
Designed for extreme oilfield environments, geothermal wells, and deep-water cementing applications. This flagship unit delivers precise thermal and hydraulic control under maximum pressure ratings up to 275 MPa (40,000 psi) and temperatures reaching 315°C (600°F).

The core workhorse for high-volume cement testing facilities. Operating reliably up to 204°C (400°F) and 138 MPa (20,000 psi), this model offers optimal versatility for standard downhole cementing slurries, additive screening, and quality assurance programs.

A compact, ruggedized solution designed specifically for field laboratories, mobile testing units, and remote rig sites. It delivers full-scale laboratory accuracy and API compliance in a space-saving, field-deployable footprint without compromising structural integrity.
Every Nithons HTHP consistometer is built with heavy-gauge, anti-corrosive stainless steel enclosures, high-pressure tubing, and pressure vessel assemblies. This premium construction ensures long service life, easy decontamination, and high resistance to aggressive chemical additives.
Equipped with an advanced industrial Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and an interactive color touchscreen display. Technicians can directly configure test profiles—including multi-stage temperature ramps, automated pressure control, and motor rotational speed (150 rpm)—with a few taps on the screen.

The on-screen graphics engine plots real-time curves for temperature, pressure, and cement slurry consistency (Bearden Units, Bc). The system natively supports complex stop-and-go testing protocols, allowing researchers to simulate dynamic slurry pumping, temporary shut-in conditions, and static gel strength development under realistic downhole conditions.
Data security and laboratory traceability are fully integrated. Laboratory operators can capture real-time display screenshots and export raw test logs instantly via a USB flash drive. For centralized laboratory networks, the unit connects directly to a PC for automated test protocol programming, remote monitoring, and comprehensive audit trail record-keeping.
Nithons provides flexible ODM/OEM engineering options to adapt hardware layouts, vessel dimensions, sensor inputs, and data reporting software to fulfill your specific research and operational preferences.
